  • When will the project be completed?


    Estimated contract completion is Spring 2027.

  • What work has been completed so far?


  • Are there any planned detours and/or road closures?


    I-95 will always remain open, however there will be nighttime lane closures. Exit 74 and Exit 75 ramps will be detoured at certain times. Route 161 will have closures for critical operations.  All detours will be posted on our website.

  • Where can I find lane closure and detour information?


    All traffic impact information can be found on our website and other social media outlets. We will also send out press releases, when necessary, to alert the traveling public of any significant closures ahead of time.   • Will I-95 be impacted during the daytime hours?


    I-95 will not be significantly impacted during the daytime. All major construction activities will be performed during non-peak hours. There may be intermittent shoulder closures during the daytime hours.

  • Will Route 161 be impacted by the construction?


    All major impacts will happen during off-peak hours from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (nighttime). Extensive utility relocation work will happen during the daytime.

  • How do I submit any construction related claims?


    Claims for damages and/or personal injuries which occurred within the project limits, as a result of some action or inaction of the I-95 East Lyme Project Team, can be submitted by sending written notice that includes the claimant's contact information, a description of the accident given rise to the claim, and a description of damage/personal injuries suffered.
