Closure of Exit 74 (Southbound) Off-Ramp and Exit 75 (Southbound) On-Ramp:
Two Week Closure Beginning October 19, 2025
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that the Exit 74 southbound off-ramp and Exit 75 southbound on-ramp will be closed for two (2) weeks beginning October 19, 2025. It is anticipated that these ramps will reopen on November 2, 2025. This is necessary to facilitate the reconstruction of these ramps to meet the adjusted traffic alignment to a newly constructed section of highway. Motorists should follow the posted detours.
I-95 Southbound traffic shift: sunday, october 19, 2025
In addition to the ramp closures, CTDOT is announcing that in order to allow the southbound travel lanes and bridge to be brought up to final grade, southbound traffic will shift to the new section of highway on I-95 southbound. This traffic shift will begin on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Please check out this video to show this stage of construction in more detail.
